Kawasaki ZX6R Bins It Off a 40ft Cliff

Sometimes you have to learn the hard way. Riding a bicycle takes years of practice not to fall off. It took me seven. Well, that’s seven minutes learning to ride without training wheels and it was the most memorable, erm, memory of my five-year-old self. The only time I fell off was when my brother’s mountain bike had his brakes missing in action. So I had to skid and clip a parked car on purpose because a new car’s metal is softer than a concrete wall.

The lesson, always check the brakes if they’re working. The other lesson was that if you failed to do the first lesson, you must pray to God that there is going to be a parked car so that you wouldn’t have to play Takeshi’s Castle.

On that thought, riding a motorcycle fast is much like driving a supercar. If you are not careful, you will end up in a tree. Or in this Kawasaki ZX6R rider’s particular case, fall of a cliff. Sure he had loads of fun while passing cars and bikes alike. Nothing, however, prepared him for the oncoming vehicle. Lesson 2 tells us to just hit a parked car for ‘cushion’ but since the vehicle he was faced with was moving, he had no choice but to go wide and get off the way. Or more likely, the road. He was literally rolling in the deep. Honestly, I thought he had died in the fall. Luckily he managed to get up and climb out of the embarrassment.

The video shown here was captured in a GoPro. With what happened to him, what lesson do you think he learned?
